Advertising & Campaigns

Campaigns are often treated as a sprint for attention. But without strategy, research, and alignment, even the loudest message falls flat. I design campaigns that don’t just reach people, they engage them. By grounding advertising in qualitative insights, audience mapping, and narrative strategy, I ensure campaigns connect with the right people in the right way, and that every dollar spent moves your mission forward.

The Approach

Every project begins with research and unfolds through an iterative process:

Discovery & Listening

Every campaign begins with inquiry. I start by clarifying goals: what change needs to happen, and for whom? From there, I gather qualitative insights through stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and message testing to uncover how different audiences perceive your issue, what motivates them, and where barriers exist. I also audit past campaigns and analyze sector peers to understand what stories are already in circulation, and how your message can cut through.

Sensemaking & Analysis

Insights are translated into campaign frameworks that align message, audience, and channel. Using audience segmentation, journey mapping, and narrative analysis, I identify how different groups move from awareness to engagement. This stage often includes developing personas, mapping cultural and linguistic considerations, and testing metaphors or frames to find the language that resonates. Instead of assuming what will work, I validate narratives against real feedback.

Narrative & Engagement Strategy

Campaigns live or die on the strength of their story. I craft narratives that translate complex issues into accessible frames, supported by message matrices that tailor variations to each audience segment. Engagement strategies define not only where the story will be told (across platforms like Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn), but how people will be invited into it—whether through calls to action, resource pathways, or feedback loops that keep the campaign interactive rather than one-way.

Strategic Roadmaps

The final step embeds narratives and engagement frameworks into actionable plans. These are not just media calendars or channel schedules, but systems that define how stories evolve over time, how outcomes will be measured, and how campaigns can be adapted as conditions change. Roadmaps link back to organizational capacity, ensuring campaigns are not only compelling but sustainable.

Who It’s For

Advertising & campaigns work is designed for organizations that need more than impressions or clicks. It’s for nonprofits preparing a fundraising or awareness campaign that must cut through complexity, civic groups mobilizing communities around policy or advocacy, and B Corps seeking to grow without losing sight of mission. It’s especially valuable if your past campaigns have generated activity without engagement, or if your team struggles to connect the dots between story, strategy, and measurable impact.
